Budgeting workshop 7/3

Mackay Regional Financialling Services is offering a FREE Budgeting Workshop at "The Shed", George Street Neighbourhood Centre, 4 George Street, Mackay

The session aims to develop tools to formulate a budget, specific to the participants household and encourage debt management and savings.

Holts Road extended closure 27/2

Mackay City Council advises that Holts Road will remain closed until the end of February to ensure adequate drying time of the new surface.
They wiah to apologise for the delay caused by the wet weather and advise that the road will reopen on Monday 27th February.

Temporary Traffic changes at City Gtes (mid March)

Please note that the Department advise that further traffic changes are required at City Gates- Peak Downs Highway intersection  to allow the completion of works on the left turn slipway from the Bruce Highway onto the Peak Downs Highway.  The slip lane will be closed from 8th February until mid March.

Smaller vehicles will still be allowed to turn left onto the Peak Downs Highway but heavy vehicles wanting to access the Peak Downs Highway will need to turn right at Farrelly's Road, travel along Connors Road and Archibald Street to return to the Peak Downs Highway.

SUNDAY IN THE PARK 20/2

"Sunday in the Park" is a free musical event held on the 3rd Sunday of every month
at the Mackay Regional Botanical Gardens between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

This month's concert will be held on Sunday,19th February.

Singers, entertainers and musicians of all ages are invited to perform live on stage in front of a receptive audience.

This is a family event and everyone is welcome.  Newcomers will be supported by regular performers if required.

Bring along your instruments and special leads, a chair or a blanket and have a picnic with friends in beautiful surroundings.

Army Cadets Intake 21/2

The Mackay 122nd Army Cadet Unit will soon conduct its Start of Year Intake of New Members.

 Public information sessions will be held prior to commencement on the following 
  The last session will be held on Monday  20th February
 commencing at 6 p.m.

The current intake closes on 21st February.
New members can be male or female aged from twelve and a half  to seventeen years.

Come along, have fun, make new friends and learn new skills.

Relationships Australia offers a Fundamentals Program. VMR (Volunteer Marine Rescue) advise that the Members Monthly meeting is held on the last Monday of each Month at the top of the Boat Ramp, Mackay Marina
